A different point of view revisited

11 10 2007

The readers of this Blend may recall that it was a conversation with a Baptist Preacher friend that got me writing on this and looking at all the weird assed new and distortions on all sides. These distortions in the “conventional” and the “alternative” news can also steal out energy. This is not to mention the adrenaline pump in seeing bad news–it’s the hits of adrenaline we get that continues to sell the news. The Media knows this all too well.

Anyway, as a pinch, my Preacher friend’s latest emails got me back on to this whole blog, pages and pages of both “conventional” and “alternative” news to make some sense of the weird assed opinions out there. Finally, what matters is the awareness of having any opinions or assumptions at all. The awareness is what keeps us unspotted from the world. The real I that is single.

Energy is Free

We’ve also been talking about energy and its proper use. If you are feeling low and blue, do you attack someone else to get some energy?

Sometimes this happens.

Silly way to go about gathering more energy, isn’t it?

There are other ways, lots of other ways. Beyond competing for what seems to be a limited amount of…energy.

I remember a story from long ago, when I was growing up on the ocean in Florida. A friend from the end of the street, he was a fellow surfer, told it to me one afternoon when the surf was way down. There was a party at my friend’s house. A psychic was there as a guest, older lady. The Hostess inquired if the psychic was having a good time? Not really. The psychic pointed out that the energy was low in the room. And it was. People were sort of slumming through their conversations, nothing to do.

Then.

A bright happy young man appeared. He had lots of energy. He talked with everyone. The Hostess was hanging back in a corner with the psychic. The psychic pointed out that everyone in the room had cast shadowy tentacle forms to the young man. The psychic described that his energy was being taken away from him.

Soon, the party was lively. People were talking, interested, mixing drinks. The bright young man, however, had fallen into a slump. His vibrancy had dimmed.

There is a difference between the unconsious use of energy, and the conscious use of energy.

Had he known how to use energy consciously, he would perhaps have realized there was A LOT more energy where that came from, and it was all FREE.

Chalmers Johnson Speaketh

Coined the phrase “Blowback.”

Here he argues that there is a difference between having a country and having an Empire.

Warning: This guy can get pretty heavy if you’re not sure what’s happening to the fife and bugle core that has powered America so very successfully for so many generations.

It can be quite a bring down. At least, he’s not stealing the huge quantities of energy that are stolen from the unconscious viewer by the TV News! He’s working at making, what to him, is a small contribution. (Rare to see!)

Along with our theme of The Power of Suggestion, you might observe any emotional reactions as Chalmers Johnson goes into a very organized speech to a church congregation on April 22, 2007.(This is the first I’ve seen of it. Nice You Tube production quality too!)

This was uploaded to You Tube by our “Chalmers Johnson” source, Jaxmehoff2 October 2008.

Cheerful.

🙂

If you like, the next two parts are on You Tube. Just follow the link to Jax’s channel.

All very interesting. The choice of Democracy or Imperialism could be out of the people’s hands by now, he guesses.

Or maybe out of his own hands?

There is a difference.

Meanwhile, during rise and fall of civilizations, empires, democracies, what of the choice to learn how to learn to live, whatever is going on in the outer world?

I remember a Sunday School book that my parents would have us read from at the breakfast table sometimes, Wake up and Live!

(Yes, that’s a suggestion, possibly a fairly useful suggestion. Take it or leave it.)

Thank you.
